Ashen Grey is quiet magic—an earthy, ethereal grey drawn from the heart of the Terminalia Chebula tree. Long revered for its healing properties, this ancient botanical yields a soft, smokey hue that whispers of misty mornings, worn stone, and grounding stillness. Neither too cold nor too warm, Ashen Grey is a soulful neutral—perfect for layering into your textile palette as a gentle anchor.

How to dye your fabrics
STEP 1: Dilute 100g of Botanical Powder Dye with 10-15 litres of warm water, stir and strain to remove any lumps.
STEP 2: Combine your dye liquid with your fabrics and leave to soak for 30-60 minutes.
STEP 3: Once your fabric reaches the desired hue, wring and hang dry.
Tip: Ensure enough space for fabric to move freely — especially when using buckets or tubs. For deeper shades, use more dye or soak longer.

How much dye do you need?
- 100g (x1 packet) for 2kg of fabric similar to a pair of crew socks
- 200g (x2 packets) for 4kg of fabric similar to a cotton t-shirt
- 400g (x4 packets) for 8kg of fabric similar to a typical double duvet cover
Top Tip: add a little more for deeper colour and a little less for lighter shade.
